Tomorrow is Canada Day, so I thought it might be nice to highlight some of my favorite Canadian songs for this week’s Friday Five. These are songs that are about Canada, or places in Canada, or being Canadian, or just have that distinctive Canadian vibe that I love so much.

I went to college in Canada, and I found a lot of great artists during my time there (some of them are friends even). If there is any artist that is synonymous with Canada, then it is The Tragically Hip. Last year, I streamed their final show live, and I put it onto my TV screen. It was a comfort to know that my friends all across Canada were doing the same.

Canada has some amazing artists. I was at the final Tragically Hip show in Kingston. I still can’t believe I was lucky enough to get tickets. It was an absolutely unbelievable experience to be in that arena that night.
